HERN IRON WORKS is located in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; about 30 miles east of Spokane, Washington, on Interstate 90. In the heart of the lumber and mining district, we are the successors to the respected Washington Machinery Foundry and the National Iron Works, established in 1884. HERN IRON WORKS was constructed in the 1970s on a wholly-owned 30 acre parcel of industrial ground served by all the major freight lines; and consists of several purpose built metal buildings ideally suited for our foundry and machine shop operations. We are a family owned and operated foundry with two generations taking an active part in producing your castings.
